NATHAN CANESTARO

NATHAN A. CANESTARO is a professional intelligence officer and scholar of World War II naval history. Currently on assignment to the National Intelligence Council as Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Military Issues, Nathan has twenty-five years of experience writing about military operations for policymakers in the US Government. He has a Bachelors in Political Science and Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Laws from Georgetown University, and a Masters from Yale University in International Relations. He has appeared on a number of podcasts and nationally-broadcast media outlets, including the Friends of the World War II Memorial Speaker Series, the Buck Sexton and Clay Travis Show, the Newt Gingrich Podcast, and the “We Have Ways of Making You Talk” Festival 2025, NPR’s Walter Edgar’s Journal Podcast, and American Warrior Radio.
